Build An 8-bit Computer
No prior knowledge or experience necessary

A great experience to write about in college applications, or just to learn about how computers work.
​
A flat fee of $300 per student.
​
The class will meet once a week over summer, the days will be decided based on the students' availability.

This course includes:

Basic Boolean algebra (binary arithmetic)

Logic Gates (how they work, and how to build circuits with them)

RTL Combinatorial Components (broken down to their logic gate designs)

Sequential Design (latches and flipflops)​

Basic Electricity and Magnetism (how resistors and capacitors work)

The parts of a very basic computer

Basic Assembly

Building the computer on breadboards
